If you’ve seen our Safari Chic Guest Bedroom and Clouds and Rainbows Girl’s Bedroom then you’ll know that I’ve become a fan of beautiful wallpaper! I love how much personality it adds to a room and if you love unique bold prints and stunning murals as much as I do, you simply have to check out Rebel Walls.

I teamed up with Rebel Walls (kindly gifted) to celebrate the launch of my Home Styling Service which I’ve been secretly working on behind the scenes and I’m delighted to give you a taster of two fabulous room transformations which I’ve worked on with a lovely client.

You may also be interested to know that I’ve launched my own unique chic collection of homeware including beautiful accessories and cushion covers!

Challenge 1

To create a ‘unique and feminine bedroom for an 8 year old girl which would grow with her’, bringing in pretty florals that didn’t look too nursery-like. When we saw this May Meadow Pastel mural we all agreed it would absolutely hit the mark, including 8 year old Savannah who couldn’t wait to see her new bedroom come together!

What I love about this design is that I could also imagine it in a dining room, adult bedroom or even the bathroom; it’s so versatile!

They already had good quality blinds for the bay window but the colour wasn’t quite right so instead of buying new ones they were given a makeover with watered down Annie Sloan Chalk Paint (gifted) finished with wax.

A few simple details like the beautiful blush pink dressing table stool and round wooden mirror was all it took to complete the look because we didn’t want to take attention away from the stunning May Meadow. Take a look at the before and after…

Challenge 2

Through my pre-Home Styling questionnaire we established that my brief was to help with a colour palette and accessories choices for a brand new loft conversion (i.e. ‘sanctuary’!) for mummy and daddy that would be ‘stylish, interesting and different’ plus ‘light, airy and chilled’.

Cue this breathtaking agate wallpaper … Agate is one of the best crystals to achieve a calmer, more balanced state and has soothing, grounding properties that helps you get re-centered. I mean come on, what spells ‘sanctuary’ ‘interesting’ and ‘stylish’ more than that?! It’s like every parent’s dream!

We decided to put it opposite the windows rather than behind the bed because the incredible views offered interest enough on that side of the room, then we picked out the colours in accessories such as the cushions and rug. Everything else was kept really neutral to maintain a sense of calm and balance. Let me know what you think in the comments…
