When we hosted a Day of the Dead themed halloween party, we created a spooky halloween tent in our garden to create an additional room for our 50 guests.
We used the same white 3x6m garden gazebo as in our Mermaid Party and used black garden membrane sheeting to cover the sides and ceiling by running lengths from the floor, up and over the top pole, into the ceiling and back down again. We made little holes so we could fix it in place using the velcro loops used to attach the canopy to the frame.
Cool white fairy lights twinkled around the edge then we added lots of white cobweb decoration and glow in the dark spiders everywhere which created a low-cost yet fantastic spooky effect. Day of the Dead bunting and skeletons added some personality and we hung the same green and purple lanterns from our Mermaid Party amongst the cobwebs.
Disco lights with rotating disco balls added to the atmosphere and a halloween playlist via Spotify kept the party spirit (no pun intended) going.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my spooky halloween party tent; if you create one as a result of seeing this post please share with me on Instagram and use #OSKinspired as I’d love to see the results!
Until next time,
