Achieve the Modern Farmhouse Christmas Look
With only a few weeks to go until Christmas (and even less for gift and decor parcels to be delivered!) i’m sharing how to achieve the Modern Farmhouse Christmas Look using my Oh So Kel Christmas Collection.
My beautiful unique chic homeware has rustic and boho touches that bring classic yet unique charm to the home, and because OSK uses artisans and carefully curated sources from around the globe, you’re guaranteed to receive pieces full of charm and quality that will last for years to come.
Elevate your Kitchen
Rustic linens on the table, gorgeous serving boards full of delicious food and a beautifully styled island or peninsula including greenery and mixed materials will help you to achieve the Modern Farmhouse Christmas look in the kitchen.
Our frayed edged linen runners and napkins come in a variety of muted colours and style beautifully with our wooden beaded boho napkin rings. The white marble heart board looks just gorgeous styled up with decor as it does piled with cheese treats. Style with our black cast iron reindeer, pre-lit snow-tipped tree and mini rustic cowbells to achieve the look!
Perhaps add our faux olive branch wreath to the window or kitchen cupboards for some additional festivity and style up our rustic burlap cutlery pockets for your Christmas tablescape.
Introduce Greenery
Bring the outdoors in by running our green leaf foliage garland on your fireplace or hallway bannister, then add a sprinkling of magic with our battery operated fairy lights without having to have wires to a plug socket. They come in 3 designs: Nordic Star, Pine Cone & Red Bells or Red Berries.
Create a show-stopping centrepiece with our green foliage wreath, gold or black taper candlesticks and cowbells garland, which works dual purpose with your front door too!
Create a cosy welcome
A gorgeous wreath on the front door and an inviting hallway will instantly make guests feel festive and welcomed to your home, which is what the modern farmhouse Christmas trend is all about!
Our Green Foliage Wreath or Red Berries and Foliage Wreath styled up with our pair of cowbells or cowbells garland is utterly charming and really epitomises this look.
In the hallway consider creating a beautiful winter village with our wooden cone trees, white porcelain Dutch houses (which hold tea lights!), cast iron reindeer and perhaps even a sprinkling of our Finland Moss with fairy lights layered on top.
Did someone say hot chocolate?
Hot chocolate stations have become a big thing lately! Our HUGE collection of stoneware, earthenware and seasonal mugs are too beautiful to hide in the cupboard so work perfectly alongside our hot chocolate, candy cane and gingerbread bakery wooden block houses or easel signs, Movie Night Treat Box, Christmas Tree Wooden Board and Christmas Tree snack dishes on bamboo base.
Go for a neutral colour palette
A neutral palette created using rustic woods, rattan, paper, textured fabrics and white ceramics allows this trend to work with interest and style without blandness and is how to achieve the modern farmhouse Christmas trend.
Our boho beads garland with tassels, hand-carved mango wood dough bowl and cone trees bring in the wooden elements whilst our woven Pranzo tray/bowl brings texture to your styling. The monochrome fabric wall advent calendar will excite little ones whilst looking really gorgeous on the wall and our paper honeycomb baubles add a scandi vibe to your Christmas tree or decorative bowl.
