Christmas is one of the most magical times of the year, but also the most expensive! So I thought I’d share some low cost and effective ways of using an every day office item to help you save the pennies whilst not compromising on style or the personal touch.
It turns out that manilla or brown parcel paper are super useful at Christmas, particularly when used with a white chalkboard pen. You could also use a gold or silver pen, or a black marker for a bolder effect.
Here I’ve drawn a festive design on a manilla folder sleeve and framed it for our sweet table:
For our Christmas table I used the manilla folder sleeve again and using the chalkboard pen drew around a large bowl to make the large circle then personalised it to create a place name. (I put a tablemat underneath so the hot plates didn’t damage the table):
Let’s not forget how timeless and classy presents look when wrapped in brown paper. Check out my Pinterest board for inspiration.
