RUSTIC NEUTRAL CHRISTMAS HOUSE TOUR

With Christmas only a few weeks away I wanted to share how we’ve decorated for Christmas this year, along with some of our past decor too.

Much like the Oh So Kel Living homeware brand, we’ve kept it neutral with hints of rustic and boho vibes this year; something that feels timeless yet modern, in keeping with how we’ve decorated.

As we’re away from 27th we’ve stuck to the downstairs living space instead of the usual trees in the kids’ bedrooms and garden too!

Having a tree central to the room brought about a new challenge we’ve never faced before….leads everywhere! Hence the baskets (from my collection) and cushions (also OSK Living) either side. I also decided that our tree was too small in the space so we’ve put it on wooden sleepers from the garden and covered it with a blanket. It’s all smoke and mirrors!

The tree has been decorated using natural wooden bead garlands and snowflake hangers from my OSK Living Christmas Collection along with our annual family tradition….a decoration which we make along with wooden spools with the girls’ Santa list for that year. The 5 Easy DIY Christmas Tree Decorations can be found here.

When we switched this room around earlier in the year we lost our fireplace (room reveal here) to the Narnia cupboard tv wall and Ikea Billy Bookcase hack (see the article by Ideal Home Magazine here).

I created a mantle feel on the bench by hanging stockings (central two from my OSK collection) from the garland and added some ceramic houses from a previous styling job with Wilko along with some trees from a tablescape job with Wayfair to give it a winter village feel. The other trees are from Homesense and Homebase.

In line with the winter village I’ve also added winter trees and snow on the coffee table and console!

The sofa has lots of extra texture too…

In the kitchen I’ve really enjoyed playing about with shelfies and neutrals with textural elements from my OSK collection since losing the tropical print wallpaper earlier this year:

The hallway has had a spruce up too, showcasing the best-selling wall advent calendar from my Christmas Collection:

Here’s a selection of images from previous years including some brand styling work with Yankee Candle, Wayfair and Morrisons Home. We’ve definitely played about with different schemes over the years that’s for sure…
