This has to be one of my all time favourite styled tables EVER! Not only did we get to introduce pops of pastels and splashes of metallic gold into our decor, but we also introduced DIYs that involved FOOD for our family Easter breakfast! Hurray! (I promise my hubby got fed too but someone had to take the pics right?! Plus he had his red England Rugby shirt on in preparation for the Six Nations game later that day sooooo say no more…)
I’m so egg-cited to have teamed up with Dunelm to show that you can create a stunning Easter table with items that you can actually use all year round, then add just a few ‘themed’ items like the bunny egg cups along with some easy DIYs to add a special touch. If you stick to a general rule for your tableware and accessories they can be mixed and matched for every occasion. I personally love pastel tones, whites and metallic gold, all of which work brilliantly on their own or together. The Seafoam Dinner Set and Pink Speckled Gold Mugs are robust enough for my family to use every day, but teamed with the Gold Rim Chargers and Blush Tumblers alongside DIY elements like the floral hoops and beautifully presented food, you can transform these items into real showstoppers without breaking the bank.
Perfectly Pastel Easter Breakfast Table
Now I don’t know about you but my kids seem to eat breakfast way better than any other meal? They also eat any food that looks pretty or they’ve helped with so this was an absolute winner. They added rosemary sprigs to croissants to make ‘carrots’, made Easter themed pancakes and toast using cookie cutters and speckled boiled eggs with edible gold paint, all with minimal mess and no baking required! (They also took no persuading to help themselves to the chocolate eggs in our vase of flowers…I mean, when else is it acceptable to have chocolate for breakfast?!)
Our DIY gold dipped feathers with the sprig of faux flowers taken from our Heather and Rose Bouquet brought a sense of spring to the table setting alongside Mr Bunny carrying our gold speckled eggs. The flowers in the vase on the table and the flowers on our DIY hoops backdrop really ties the whole theme together don’t you think? By the way, the floral hoops have stayed there ever since! I love them so much and they bring a welcome touch of spring to our banquette while we patiently wait for the real deal to arrive.
Get the look! If you love this table, why not create your own?
Dusky pink runner / Gold rim chargers / Fifth Avenue tealight holder (I used it as a vase) / Seafoam dinner set / Gold cutlery / Bunny bowl / Pink speckled gold mug / Blush tumblers gold rim / Bunny egg cups / Resin bunnies ornament / Heather and rose bouquet / Faux peonies (used on the hoops) / Seafoam cushions / Gold knit cushions / Blush cushions / Edible gold paint / Easter cookie cutters
A big thanks to Dunelm for gifting us with the most beautiful tableware and accessories for our perfectly pastel family Easter breakfast table; I’m not sure which made me more excited when I opened the boxes, the pink speckled gold mugs, metallic knit cushions, or the duck egg blue crockery!
