Sometimes children need a bit of persuasion to go for a crisp Autumnal walk. Showing my daughter pictures of leaf art on my Pinterest board really got her excited to go outside and start collecting lots of different shaped and coloured leaves.
All we needed was paper, a glue stick, a marker pen and the leaves we’d collected which we left to dry for an hour or so.
Our favourite was the hedgehog which was so easy to create by simply drawing the face and adding brown leaves for the body.
The peacock was really effective when we used different coloured leaves for each ‘layer’ of feathers.
We added the end of a yellow leaf to create the beak and stalks for the legs.
My toddler loved getting involved too!
