DIY WINE GLASS EASTER CLOCHE

I had the pleasure of delivering an Easter decor workshop to some lovely ladies in my home town Portishead where I demonstrated two different themed tables using wallpaper runners (see here) and then everyone made a beautiful Easter cloche to take home.

If you’d like to make your own DIY wine glass Easter cloche, here’s how!

You will need

Wine glass (we used Ikea goblet glasses)

Round base such as a coaster (we used cork boards)

Easter themed items (we used nests and feathers from Home Bargains and hand-cut paper butterflies)

Ribbon or twine (to tie around the stem for decoration)

How to

We simply placed the nest in the centre of the cork (glue if you’d like it to be permanent) then added some decorations such as a piece of pussy willow, feather and paper butterfly. To add a vintage vibe we cut pieces of old music sheets and simply wrapped inside half of the glass as a backdrop.

Once the inside decoration was complete we then decorated the outside, either by wrapping ribbon or twine around the stem or by gluing paper butterflies to the top.

The possibilities with this are endless once you’ve got the basic glass and base. If you don’t glue the glass to the base you could switch up the decor through the seasons. Think snow and brush trees in winter or scary skulls for Halloween!

I’ve actually been a fan of cloches for a while and made a ballet themed one out of a large plastic bottle for Emmie’s Swan Lake Soiree birthday party!

Wishing you an egg-cellent Easter!
