Let’s be honest, we love a bit of sparkle around here and when you’re serving delicious treats in the form of these natural, sugar and gluten free Nouri Health Balls, indulgent presentation has to be the aim of the game.
You can’t get more indulgent than gold leaf on marble quartz and if you can get your hands on the slab free of charge then even better. We were given this sample of quartz while planning our kitchen makeover so it’s worth considering opportunities like this. Alternatively, an old chopping board or piece of cork would look pretty cool too.
All you need is:
An agate slice or a slab of marble/quartz
Clear finish sealer for metal leaf
2 paint brushes
First clean the surface and ensure it’s completely dry before using a thin brush to carefully coat the edge of the slice with PVA glue or gold size.
Wait for the glue to dry slightly then apply the leaf.
Use a dry brush to sweet away any loose leaf.
Seal it with a clear finish in either spray or paint form.
These delicious truffles come in Chocolate and Hazelnuts, Coconut and Chia plus other winning flavour combinations and really bridge the gap between health and indulgence, which has to be a winner any time but particularly with Halloween and the festive season coming up.
Alongside a glass of fizz this is perfect for a girls’ night in my book.
The platter is so versatile, much like the DIY Gold Edged Agate Slice I shared a while back. Try using it to serve drinks, present a selection of candles, or a vase of flowers, and move it from room to room like I do to give it a different purpose.
