After last year’s cancellations I’m so delighted that my Creative Christmas and Cocktails events have gone ahead this year in the stunning private room at the Lost & Found Bristol. – in conjunction with Live Moor, the source for Arts and Crafts Supplies.
I wanted to create a relaxed sociable atmosphere where attendees could come and enjoy some cocktails with friends and loved ones, get creative and be inspired with some new Christmas table styling ideas too. A night out, with a purpose if you will!…
For those of you unable to make it, here’s a sneak peek…
Each event begun with the most incredible cocktail by the Lost & Found. Their drinks menu is so diverse and exciting!
While guests settled in with their delicious drinks I started with a presentation about how to style your table for Christmas.
Oh So Kel has won House 21 ‘Best Home Blog’ in 2019 and 2020 as well as being nominated and shortlisted for ‘Best Design Inspiration’ at the prestigious Amara IBAs. My own home has appeared in interior magazines such as Style at Home, Ideal Home, House Beautiful, Red, Metro and more. You can check those out here.
I decided to build two tablescapes that looked completely different yet applied the same styling principles and tips to demonstrate how you can use them to create a look that reflects your own personality and home style. One had a traditional feel and the other a modern monochrome vibe, plus in true OSK fashion I shared lots of DIY ideas to make the schemes feel more special and personalised!
All tips, inspiration and DIY ideas were shared in the Christmas Styling Tips book which I’d produced for everyone to take away.
After being inspired on how to create a stunning Christmas table and ways in which air dry clay decorations can be used, each attendee had the chance to get lost in creativity and make some to take away – in a beautiful gift box. It was so wonderful to see how many different designs were made and lots were personalised with loved ones’ names for place settings, tree decorations and gift tags.
The air dry clay was kindly provided by Live Moor Arts and Craft Supplies website – ‘New Year 10’ will give you 10% off at the checkout too!
Yankee Candle were kind enough to send a selection of large candles worth £24.99 from their Christmas Collection for someone to win at each of the events. They are all absolutely divine but my absolute favourite is the Twinkling Lights scent!
I hope this has given you a little taste of Creative Christmas and Cocktails. If you’d like to be the first to hear about future events in the South West England area, please get in touch!
May I wish you a wonderful festive season.
Stay safe and be merry!
