When you have special friends to visit it’s lovely to show them how much they mean to you with a gorgeous dinner table (and gorgeous food to boot!).
Don’t you just love the timeless style of black, white and green? It’s forever chic and I adore how you can make it classic or modern looking. In true Transitional Style I mixed elements of both at our dinner table by using an antique silver rose bowl for the classic looking blooms (I’m a faux flowers lover – read more here), sleek black and white striped ribbon around the napkins, bold green water glasses and perspex tablemats.
Instead of traditional place cards I added a personal touch by writing the names of our guests in gold pen on faux leaves before placing them underneath the tablemats. Such an easy but really effective touch! For autumn/fall you could use real rusty colour leaves, or spray them silver in winter.
I also love how fresh and modern those cushions make our classic and chic dining area.
