I’m Kel Harmer – founder of Oh So Kel, interiors writer and stylist, passionate renovator, and lifelong lover of beautiful living. From travel and DIY to entertaining and decor, I find joy in the details that turn everyday moments into something special. Based in our forever home in Portishead, just outside of Bristol, I share the ongoing story of our renovation – a journey grounded in creativity, heart, and a deep love for meaningful spaces that truly make a house a home.
What began in 2018 as an interiors blog quickly grew into something bigger. Since then, I’ve had the joy of working as a stylist with brands like Caesarstone, Yester Home, Roper Rhodes, Wayfair, Dunelm, Ronseal, Now TV, and Yankee Candle, while my work and home have featured in national magazines, newspapers, and global platforms such as Vogue, Red, Metro, Real Homes, Ideal Home, House Beautiful, and Apartment Therapy.
Losing my best friend Rachel was a devastating moment that brought everything into sharp focus. It reminded me how short life truly is and gave me the clarity to follow what genuinely sets my soul alight. Since then, I’ve found deep purpose and joy in creating spaces that uplift and inspire—both within my own home and through styling and content creation for brands.
Our home is now also available as a location house for photo and film shoots – a light-filled, open-plan thoughtfully designed space that lends itself beautifully to creative campaigns and brand storytelling.
