Now we’re back into the swing of entertaining it’s the perfect opportunity to create special memories with your guests.
I’ve launched an Outdoor Living Collection, which was curated around being able to entertain again, celebrate reunions and dress the table a little bit ‘extra’ just because we can.
Olive tree branches, mango wood, exquisite linens, coconut bowls and macrame cake toppers alongside rustic napkin rings and cutlery pockets create a relaxed yet stylish sense of occasion which can be mixed and matched with your existing tableware and expressions of your own personality.
Here are my 5 top tips on how to style your summer table:
Create a relaxed vibe with loosely styled linens, such as table runners and unfolded napkins
Bring a sense of nature to your table through blooms or leaves and rustic bowls – or create a DIY Grapefruit Centrepiece like I did!
Boho touches are always a good idea for summer styling!
Light and airy or bright and colourful, both work beautifully in summer. With both styles I always bring in rustic elements like burlap to balance them; think old coffee bean hessian sacks which I used for our Boho Fiesta, burlap cutlery pockets from my collection or baskets which I used for our Animal Fair Tablescape.
Match your table style to your food. Finger food that doesn’t require cutlery can allow for casual seating such as cushions or blankets on the floor whereas formal food that requires cutlery needs a more formal table to keep things practical. We used low tables and cushions for our daughter’s Boho Party and old wooden pallets covered in sacks for our Boho Fiesta and both options really added to the casual vibe.
